The prices of agricultural products are subject to increases according to macroeconomic and environmental factors. Recent price increase was largely reflected in higher prices for food to the detriment of consumers.

We believe that consumers have the right to pay the correct price for the products they purchase and it is fundamental that dysfunctions in the supply chain are identified and redressed.

Food retailers continuously strive to offer the best deal to European consumers.  As food prices rose over the past year, ERRT members have worked hard to keep inflationary increases off the shelves.  This has been achieved through ongoing discussions with producers and processors concerning the prices to be paid for their goods.
